Architecture , Interior Design , Construction

Description

The project Villa Ethrio consists of 1 central ground floor villa of three levels as well as 2 underground luxury houses with 2 swimming pools. The main principle of the project was the use of the existing engravings and slopes of the soil to create the composition, with the ultimate goal of it existing with harmony with the natural landscape from which it is surrounded. The aim was not only to maintain the existing plantings in the external configuration of the project but also to transfer the natural environment inside the houses. At the same time, the project has been designed based on the principles of bioclimatic architecture, in order to be characterized by the least possible energy consumption of mechanical means, as well as to provoke interventions in the environment. This is achieved through the use of materials such as stone and wood, as well as the creation of corridors around the building for the continuous recycling of air and its protection from moisture. For this reason, the central idea of the project was the inner atrium, around which the spaces of the central residence are formed on each of its 3 levels. Similarly, atriums are used in the underground buildings for the best possible ventilation and lighting.
